Present Continuous


Настоящее длительное время (Present Continuous) употребляют для обозначения действия, которое происходит в момент речи. Where is your brother? — He is playing football. Где твой брат? — Он играет в футбол.


Для образования настоящего длительного времени используют вспомогательный глагол "to be" и основной глагол с окончанием "ing". Глагол "to be" меняется по лицам: I am, you are, he is, she is, it is, we are, they are.


В вопросительных предложениях вспомогательный глагол выносится на первое место перед подлежащим, затем ставим основной глагол. Is Margo reading now? 


Коротким утвердительным ответом на такой вопрос будет: Yes, she is. То есть, "yes" и подлежащее, выраженное местоимением со вспомогательным глаголом.
